Artist Statement:
“I draw much of my inspiration from nature and earth tones. I enjoy firing with atmospheric kilns incorporating wood and soda. While my pottery is completely functional and made for everday use, I also strive to add beauty and luxury to each piece. “
Biography:
Cathy Bizousky is a mother of four with a lifelong passion for the arts. Her admiration and artistic abilities lead her to ceramics. She initially picked up pottery as a hobby and it has come to be her one of her greatest pleasures in life. She has been making pots alongside several successful potters for ten years. She has learned a lot from those individuals around her and continues to perfect her craft day after day. She draws much of her inspiration from nature and earth tones. She enjoys firing with atmospheric kilns incorporating wood and soda. Her pottery is completely functional and made for everyday use, yet adds beauty and luxury to any home. Her passion and time spent crafting her beautiful pieces of art is evident in every end result.
Full of Grace Pottery is located in Stoke Hole Pottery. Cathy uses the facilities of Stoke Hole Pottery as if it were her own. When she is not making her own pieces, she fires the kilns, recycles clay, cleans the studio and mixes glazes.
