Artist Statement:

As a polygenic convergence of various interests and inspirations, my work integrates characteristics of the landscape, as well as, the xenomorphic images and shapes created upon it, or, the fingerprint so to speak, that is left behind.

As my current work, "Solenopsis Series", makes reference to the fire ant mounds commonly found intermingled among cultivated fields in the Southeastern United States, I am also interested in the interactions and responses between the landscape and its inhabitants.

These pieces have associations that utilize the vessel as part of sculptural form referring to topographical shapes and patterns from the earthen landscape.

More pottery pictures will be added
